Queries
Queries was designed to provide the most detailed information about queries your customers entered in your shop search box.
You can locate a search query via the Top Queries and Fallback tabs. When you select a query the system will retrieve all the relevant information about this search query and display it on the right side of the page.
Query Details
The query details include the following:
- Categories: which categories, if any, were hit by this search query. Hovering over the info icon will display the full category path.
- Refinements: which refinements will be displayed for this search query. Clicking a refinement will show how many products will each refinement carry.
- Products: which products are returned by the query. When a product is selected the user has the option to view the details of that product.
Top Queries
The Top Queries tab displays the top 200 queries entered in the search box by your shoppers. The information displayed in the table is as follows:
Clicks
This column displays the clicks number for the currently selected time period.
CTR
This column displays the click-through rate for the currently selected time period.
Frequency
This column displays the queries’ frequency for the currently selected time period.
The default display is the "Current Quarter Display. You can change/filter the display by selecting the Filter button:
Fallbacks
The Fallback tab displays information about full and partial fallbacks for the previous month. You can change/filter the display by selecting the Filter button:
- A full fallback happens when the system found no match between the user's query and the items existing in the catalog.
- A partial fallback happens when the system found a partial match between the user's query and the items existing in the catalog. For example: the shopper searched for "Blue Pumps" and the system only found a match for "blue" since the shop carries blue items but no Pumps.
Merchandising
The Merchandising tab shows a paginated list of all queries containing promoted or prohibited products along with the refinements for each of those queries. Selecting one of the queries takes you into the details of the query as though you had run it from the Search Queries box.
