Fallbacks

The Fallback tab displays information about full and partial fallbacks for the previous month.

A full fallback happens when the system found no match between the user's query and the items existing in the catalog.

A partial fallback happens when the system found a partial match between the user's query and the items existing in the catalog. For example, if the shopper searched for "Blue Pumps," the system would only find a match for "blue" since the shop carries blue items and not pumps.

Note: The fallback information is important for managing your long tail and making sure your customers always get a good search result set when searching your E-shop. Making sure to handle your top 50 fallback queries is an important task that should be handled as often as possible. Synonyms and campaigns are the most frequent activities that will assist you in clearing a fallback query from the list.

Frequency
