Manage OrchestraCMS licenses
Similar to Salesforce, OrchestraCMS has user licenses and feature licenses.
An OrchestraCMS user license defines the maximum permissions that a user can have. If you have installed a trial of OrchestraCMS, you are using an OrchestraCMS System Administrator license that expires after 30 days. The following user license types are available for OrchestraCMS:
- OrchestraCMS System Administrator
This license includes all OrchestraCMS functionality turned on by default and cannot be modified. This license would typically be given to your Salesforce Administrator or someone in your organization with considerable administrator privileges. - OrchestraCMS Site Administrator
This license includes all OrchestraCMS functionality and the ability to administer sites in multiple Salesforce organizations. This person has access to OrchestraCMS Setup and the ability to set user permissions, assign user profiles and associate licenses with users. The OrchestraCMS System Administrator can disable some of the setup permissions for this license. - OrchestraCMS Editor
This license is typically assigned to OrchestraCMS users who create pages and content. The OrchestraCMS Site Administrator can specify permissions for these users. For example, the administrator can decide if these users can publish items directly or require the approval of another user. This license has no access to OrchestraCMS Setup. - OrchestraCMS Author
This license is typically assigned to OrchestraCMS users who only need to write content. - OrchestraCMS Publisher
This license only allows users to preview and publish pages and content. The OrchestraCMS Site Administrator can further limit permissions for these users. - OrchestraCMS External Previewer
This license allows portal and community users who are external to your company to review unpublished pages via a link that is provided to them by an internal OrchestraCMS user. These users do not have permission to access the OrchestraCMS interface.
In addition to user licenses, there are feature licenses that expand the functionality of OrchestraCMS. These licenses are associated with your OrchestraCMS installation and not specific users:
- OrchestraCMS AmazonS3 Library
This license enables the ability to extend your OrchestraCMS media libraries using Amazon S3 and, optionally, Amazon CloudFront. - OrchestraCMS Compliance Engine
This license enables the compliance engine, which extends the capabilities of OrchestraCMS private sharing to meet specific regulatory requirements. - OrchestraCMS Email Distribution
This license enables the ability to send email publications and notifications to subscribers.
OrchestraCMS Extensions
OrchestraCMS Extensions is a set of content templates that extend the capabilities of OrchestraCMS. - OrchestraCMS Google Cloud Storage Library
This license enables the ability to extend your OrchestraCMS media libraries using Google Cloud Storage. OrchestraCMS Multilingual Sites
With the OrchestraCMS Multilingual Sites license, you can manage a site that needs to be available in multiple languages without building separate sites, pages or content for each language. - OrchestraCMS Past Publishing
This license enables the ability to set the start date of new content items to a date in the past. - OrchestraCMS Private Sharing
This license enables the integration of the Salesforce private sharing model with OrchestraCMS. It allows you to control access to content and pages using access levels and manual sharing rules. - OrchestraCMS Targeting
This license enables targeting, which allows you to restrict access to content based on fields in Salesforce user records.
After you purchase OrchestraCMS, you will receive an email with your license key and secret key. These must be entered in OrchestraCMS.
